WEB Better actually came from a customer service and business management background, not IT. We want to help small businesses get online, even if it’s only a Facebook page. Why? With the phonebook gone, the only place customers are looking for services today is on Google. Even your good, repeat customers can struggle to find your phone number if you aren’t online.
We realised that there was a need for a local and accessible web design service that specialised in good design, affordability, and support and only focused on small businesses. So this is what we do at WEB Better. We work only in our local community, with personalised face-to-face service, and because we come from a business management and retail background ourselves, we understand what you and your customers actually need.

Simple Design
Your website will be easy to use, giving your customers an effortless and comfortable user experience, on their computer and their mobile phone. Not having pop-ups, messenger boxes, or other gadgetry that you simply don’t need, keeps our design work affordable. BUT, because we use the long-standing and powerful WordPress platform to create your page, it can always be expanded as your business grows.
Real Representation
When we create your Facebook page or website, our goal is to make one that helps customers understand your business. We’ll personalise them to suit your logo and business colours, style them so they feel relatable to your customers, and included on them actual pictures of your business in action. We get to know you, and your business, as part of our design process, because at the end of the day, your Facebook page and website should always be a representation of you and who you are.
Affordable Pricing
Our biggest priority is finding a balance between quality and affordability. We do this by acknowledging that, while there are plenty of businesses out there who need complicated, feature packed websites, this is not our market. Instead, our uncomplicated web design process gives us the ability to offer quality results for affordable prices, an ideal solution for small business on slim budgets. Our pricing is clear, up-front, and fully inclusive, so you can make a decision in your own time, and you can do it without having to endure any high-pressure up-selling.
Meet the Team
WEB Better is a team of two. Penny Barby, our site design, graphic design and marketing team member, and Corey Barby our site-designer-in-training. We are proudly a small family business, with Penny bringing lots of longstanding retail management and practical marketing experience, and Corey adds social media that is relevant to the next generation.
WEB Better has been providing our services by word-of-mouth for over six years and are always delighted to meet and help new clients.

Can I add something more?
Yes, you can and this website is a good example of this. This is an Nice Website with 3 additional pages of information added at $160 per page, and additional written content (the extra info on this page) for $60. We are always able to add other features, and because there is actually a lot we can do, we’ll quote you for those.
How Long Will It Take?
Our turn-around is generally 4 to 6 weeks. This may vary depending on our ability to access you and your business, and for final approval from you on artwork like your logo.
How Do I Pay?
Once you decide to go ahead, we offer 2 payment options for websites:
Option 1: pay 50% deposit up front and then 50% balance 14 days from completion. This will typically give you your website in 4 weeks and we can accept direct deposit or process your credit card for this option.
Option 2: pay 25% deposit up front and then 3 more fortnightly payments of 25% charged to your credit card kept on file. This will typically give you your website in 6 weeks.
who comes up with the content?
We’ll do that for you. We will meet with you and your team, ask you all the right questions and then write your website content. We will also take photos of your business in action to add to your Facebook page, Google My Business, and website. If you need lots of extra written content (like this section on our page) there is an additional charge of $60 on top of usual page content.
What is Google My Business?
Essentially, this is the information summary of a business that you see on the right side of your Google search page. It is an important part of being easily found on Google by local searches. It also helps people find you by drawing on this information when giving directions. We set this up as a standard inclusion with ALL of our services.
I Already Have a Facebook Page…?
Excellent! We will modify it to match the personality of your business and your new website, and then to connect your website to it. You will also receive training on how to use your Facebook page as part of our services. Typically having an existing Facebook page doesn’t change our pricing.
I Already Have a Website…?
We’ll take a look at your website and instead of building you a new one, we can update and improve your existing one. This is a custom-priced service, and we can quote this for you more specifically once we’ve seen your site and have an idea of what you want. Very often though, older websites are better served by a complete knock-down and rebuild (it is generally much less expensive).
I Already Have a Logo…?
We find that very often while a business does have a logo, the image quality can be too low for use online, or the shape or design of the logo doesn’t lend itself to a website or social media. We’ll modify your existing logo for online use as part of our service, you can take this opportunity to get an new one.
